Ponte Vedra

The journey to Ponte Vedra and the Jacksonville area is made even more alluring when you include the comprehensive selection of ground transportation...

Melding together a delicate blend of quaint charm and timeless taste, Ponte Vedra Beach is a sophisticated, seaside wonderland less than an hour away from the hustle and bustle of Jacksonville. Featuring a seemingly endless collection of activities, the area is of course known best for its world-class golf. Indeed, Ponte Vedra is nearly synonymous with golf and an idyllic destination for those who want to polish their game while also indulging their passion for fun and relaxation. While Ponte Vedra may be home to both the PGA Tour and the Players Cup, don’t let this beach community fool you – the resort town is home to a bevy of luxury hotels, spectacular beaches, quintessential shopping, fine dining and an abundance of white-hot nightspots that together create a destination that’s sporty, chic and decidedly decadent.

Where to Stay

Since its debut in 1928, the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club has been a grand dame dedicated to wowing guests with her signature style of seaside luxury. Offering world-class golf, tennis, swimming, cycling and a wide array of children’s programs; the resort also features an excellent spa where guests may choose from more than one hundred blissful treatments and services, awe-inspiring ocean views and some of the toniest shopping this side of Fifth Avenue. As equally well-suited for business travel as it is for holiday, the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club’s executive services include a 25,000sf, state of the art conference center, multilingual staff, and meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 350.

Steps away from the Inn & Club is the Ponte Vedra Inn & Lodge. As elegant and lovely as its sister property, the Ponte Vedra Inn & Lodge is an intimate, bespoke oasis designed to showcase the very best of Florida’s northeastern coast from within a boutique hotel setting.

Situated adjacent to the unparalleled greens and tees of TPC Sawgrass, Marriott’s Sawgrass Golf Resort & Spa puts a modern spin on the quintessential golf holiday. Recently renovated, the hotel’s freshly updated rooms and suites feature floor to ceiling windows that frame show-stopping views – and for those who’d like even more space to unwind, the resort’s spacious one and two bedroom villas afford sprawling luxury wrapped in an upscale, residential setting.

Where to Dine & Drink

With no shortage of fine dining venues throughout the entire area, Ponte Vedra is a gourmand’s dream come true. Ponte Vedra’s wide array of restaurants offer visitors the luxury of choice, providing options perfectly suited to whatever fare strikes your fancy.

For prime beef aged to perfection and served with all your favorite steakhouse accoutrement, Ruth Chris is sheer bliss – a restaurant where traditional service meets innovative touches to ensure even the most discerning meat lover is sure to leave sated and smiling. For an utterly decadent dining experience, try Ruth Chris’ Tomahawk Ribeye – an incomparable favorite that’s broiled to perfection before being expertly carved and served tableside. Should your tastes run to lighter fare, have no fear… the menu at Ruth Chris’ also offers seafood and vegetarian options.

If you’re craving an evening of European specialties that are tres bon, say oui to the charm of Orsay. Featuring a menu of French-inspired, seafood classics there’s little not to love at this area favorite. Locals and visitors alike love the eatery for the house specialties – including memorable Prince Edward Island Mussels that are served in a rich broth fragrant with wine, garlic, and thyme. If you’re in the mood for something a bit heartier; give Orsay’s sigh-worthy lobster pot pie a try and see why devotees say the dish redefines the very concept of ‘comfort food’.

Try Flask & Cannon for cocktails crafted with a 1940’s flair, or if it’s salsa you crave plan a visit to Cuba Libre where dancing, live music, and an impressive rum selection come together to create the area’s hottest ultra-lounge. Start with booking Cuba Libre’s signature, VIP service and to truly feel like a star; arrive in style with door-to-door, luxury ground transportation that makes any night out feel like a red-carpet event.

Hawkers Asian Street Fare

From day one, the food was at the core of Hawkers Asian Street Fare—generations of Asian street food recipes have been passed down, some of which are still served on the streets of Asia. But there had to be more. We wanted to build a restaurant that would tell the story of the hawker experience in a subtle and design-conscious way. We wanted great drinks to pair with great food. The Historically Rich City That Locals & Tourists Love

As the oldest city in the United States, St. Augustine is like a fine wine that has only become richer with time! With year-round sunshine and sea breezes, this gem on Florida’s northeast coast is rich in historical sites as well as trendy hotspots. The Spanish colonial architecture gathered alongside the Atlantic Ocean is truly picturesque. This city is the kind of place that you recommend to your friends and family for a get-away that combines expansive beaches, rich history, boutique lodging, and distinctive dining experiences.

With that being said, we are sharing “the best of the best” that St. Augustine offers when it comes to food, lodging, and attractions. We hope that this will inspire you to make a visit to one of America’s most unforgettable cities!

Memorable Dining Experiences

St. Augustine has a diverse food scene that includes agri-tourism, eclectic fusions, and savory comfort food favorites. If you enjoy bohemian vibes, The Floridian offers locally sourced Southern grub in a kitschy setting. For a unique experience, Raintree Restaurant serves steak and seafood in a Victorian home that includes a fireplace and a koi pond. For a taste of history, Michael’s Tasting Room is set within the Buhari House, which dates all the way back to 1764, and features Puerto Rican inspired cuisine created with local ingredients.

Unique Lodging

St. Augustine has unique lodging experiences that go beyond the basic amenities provided by chain hotels. If you love antique-furnished lodging, St. Francis Inn is a romantic bed and breakfast featuring private gardens, balconies, whirlpool tubs, and fireplaces. If you are looking for a more opulent experience, the Casa Monica Resort & Spa features ornate chandeliers, Moroccan frescos, and exquisite tapestries. Do you love ocean breezes and walks on the beach? The Saint Augustine Beach House on Vilano beach offers ocean views from private balconies and raving reviews from guests. For a lodging experience that you will tell all of your friends about, the  Pearl of the Sea Luxury Bed & Breakfast is a romantic European mansion offering internationally themed rooms. You can choose to stay in suites modeled after the style of India, Japan, Spain, Italy, or Greece. Located on Anastasia Island, you can stroll on the boardwalk while looking out for turtles or dolphins.

Historical Attractions

If you enjoy walking through historical sites, St Augustine has a bonanza of historical tales and artifacts. Castillo de San Marcos is a large Spanish stone fortress that was built to defend Spain’s claims in the New World. It is a National Monument and clocking in 315 years of age, it is the oldest structure in St. Augustine. Housed in a former 1800s hotel,  The Lightner Museum is filled with Victorian-era artifacts and musical instruments. It is a gorgeous building that is open seven days a week and features self-guided tours. The St. Augustine Lighthouse also doubles as a maritime museum. Shipwreck artifacts are displayed within the lighthouse, and lush views are available from the viewing deck. The Bridge of Lions is a scenic drawbridge founded in 1927 flanked by 2 white marble lion statues. Built in the 1920’s, it is an iconic architectural work that connects downtown St. Augustine to Anastasia Island. In the Colonial Quarter, costumed craftsmen demonstrate old-world skills in a re-creation of a colonial Spanish village. This two-acre attraction allows visitors to visit replicas of homes, pubs, and businesses that existed in the 16th and 17th centuries.
